Mining equipment, such as wheel loaders (WA 1200, CAT 994, LT 2350) and dump trucks (CAT 797, HD 930), is getting bigger and heavier, as are their tires (70/70-57; 59/80-63). In 1992, pewag made history as a pioneer by installing the first-ever tires on the CAT 994, and in 2003, on the world's largest tire at the time (60/80-57). Setting the standard for durability, in 2006, pewag introduced a new generation of 23 mm thick, high-strength tire protection chains, which were successfully installed in 2007 on the world's largest wheel loader, the WE 2350 (70/70-57).
